Our Story
Nearly a century of proud representation
Sheet Metal Workers' and Roofers' Local Union 30 has been a cornerstone of the Greater Toronto Area construction industry since 1933. For nearly 90 years, we have proudly represented skilled tradespeople who build and maintain the infrastructure that keeps our communities running. Our union was founded on the principles of solidarity, fair wages, and safe working conditions. These values remain at the heart of everything we do today. We represent a diverse group of workers across multiple sectors, including sheet metal fabrication, roofing, siding, decking, and production. Throughout our history, Local 30 has been at the forefront of advocating for workers' rights, providing comprehensive training programs, and fostering a sense of community among our members. We take pride in the work our members do and the positive impact they have on the Greater Toronto Area.
